EAL- Equine Assisted Learning: Fosters confidence and independence for those who participate. In this mostly non-riding program, participants learn individual responsibility, relationship, and communication skills and appreciate teamwork, self-discipline, and trust. Through their activities, they develop a sense of purpose as they help care for horses who care for veterans and their families. Participants learn and improve skills, such as:
- Horse Grooming
- Leading
- Recognizing horse body language and horse communication
- How to work around horses safely
- Horse chores
- And so much more!
